TPCL is a tool for automated testing of TCP/IP communication. It offers functionality that is similar to the Internet simulation tools otech-net, lumicor, and zorro. The purpose of TPCL is not only to test the error case in the framework of TCP/IP, but also the error handling in the framework of the application itself.
TPCL can be used to test existing applications and new applications in an automated way. An example of how TPCL could be used is testing software that communicates over the Internet.
The source code is written in C and FreeBasic. It is freely available.
The main requirements for TPCL are:
- FreeBasic
- a bit of knowledge about TCP/IP
- at least one of these assumptions:
- The basic source code for your applications
- The TCP/IP framework
- Microsoft Windows
